I couldn't reply to your post right away, but I think it's better now than never. It's amazing that responsible developers like you still feel the need to apologize and justify themselves. Especially next to those who spend years extorting money from players and then say - bye guys! (Or just disappear silently).

Obviously, there are creative people for whom trauma becomes a source of inspiration, but personally, it seems to me that this is more the prerogative of poets. For most creatively gifted people, this is just trauma, and with increased sensitivity, it's even worse. Of course, you should first pull yourself together again and only then look for new strength and inspiration. If this happens after the right time, it will be good. If not, then maybe a new project will come as a new beginning. All of us (who love your games) will support your decision in any case.

I really appreciate your support and kindness, it means so much to hear. It's really encouraging, because every time I try to start working on Everfall and fail, I panic a little, so reading comments like yours helps make that shaky ground solid again. Thank you very much! I'll do what you suggest and just focus on pulling myself together, keeping it that way, and finding new strength and inspiration. I really want to see Everfall finished, but maybe that can only happen when I can feel excited to work on it again, not when I feel obligated to. It's nice to know you'll not only forgive me if I work on another project instead, but may even be excited for it. :) Again, thank you so much for your kindness. <3
