It's a desktop I'm using with a fairly old nvidia card. I transferred the same download to my linux laptop and this also doesn't start even when I degrade the quality and resolution options. However, this is a dual boot machine and when I swap to windows it does work. It's inconvenient because I hate windows but now playable so I will keep it and use it in that form. Thanks for the reply.
