I did notice a bit of a strange bug (?) where if I beat a puzzle it skips two puzzles again, and I have to go back to the menu to pay the skipped one. It's only a minor inconvenience, but doesn't seem intentional.
You are correct. Thank you for reporting the issue! It has been fixed in 0.1.4.
