For the first, find the Desert Town (it's been a long while so forgive me if I forgot how to myself) and you'll find a few NPCs selling maps. All will claim to lead to the pyramid; only one is authentic, the rest lead to various other locations (one being the location of a Cowgirl for the Milk Farm). You found two of them seemingly by blind luck so that marks off two landmarks.

One leads to a chest with a rare device, one leads to the hole containing the dowsing rod, one leads to the compass, and one contains the cowgirl cave. None of those locations are the pyramid.

So where do you get hints for where to find the pyramid?

First, finish the slave trader quest, that should unlock a new quest that continues from the slave quest. When you infiltrated the gold mine, keep looking for a person named alynn before finishing the quest. After that then alynn would be available in the desert city

Thanks! Guess it's time to sleep for a month until the slave auction becomes open again. (Or do you mean a different slave trader quest that I have no clues about?)

Have you meet Michael?

That name's not familiar to me.

Michael is the slaver boss, if you become a belly dancer and sold yourself to a man with head wrap, you will notice he has a red flame tattoo on his face. Then you can go to the tattoo parlor and ask for the same tattoo, must be reversed and must be dark red. Then buy a desert headwrap and went to the desert. If you meet a slaver with a wagon, show him your face tattoo and he will either bring you to the slaver base or slaver hideout with a map to the base. Though the wagon slavers won't approach you anymore if you beat them up before. Michael is in the base. You can also find the hideout with enough sense.

The "get the slaver tattoo/outfit" hint was what I was looking for, thanks!

It turns out the hideout was in one of the areas I hadn't explored yet. Had explored paths around it, just not in that 3x3 area itself.

Also, you don't need Alynn or the map to go to the pyramid. The coordinate is [15,15]
