so, I tried it over a couple of days in a browser, my thoughts:

  • it leaks memory like a mf
  • sometimes it just freezes, only reload fixes it
  • still have no clue what the game is about, since I have no time to read all that essays
  • number go up, brrrr

I investigated the freeze and to my best understanding it is related to "browser throttling mechanism" that aims to preserve resources. As you mentioned, reloading fixes this, and there is no progress loss as the game will auto calculate freeze time as offline.

In the non-web version running for days memory usage remains unchanged. So Steam release won't freeze.

Yeah, I believe memory hogging is a common trait of all webgl games, I was just very impressed that it ate about 11 gigs of ram at some point. To be fair, I was running an older version, and I saw you updated the game, so it may or may not be better now.
