Its no excuse - but I am a solo developer on this. I make mistakes very often and rely on reports like these to catch things that I do not initially catch during my test runs.
As of HF3, the character no longer duplicates and the party scenes have been cleaned up.
I cant speak for the freezing, but this game will continue to improve bit by bit.
