Congrats on getting your first project out! Solid attempt, if a bit lean at times.

Breaking things down by rating category, spoilers from this point forward.

Implementation of Theme:

Well, it's stated pretty explicitly: "I am a candle in the dark. A light that cannot be extinguished." Not exactly subtle, and I think you could've gotten away with not being quite so direct, but it gets the job done. There were some other projects that took the theme in a more creative direction, but this is totally fine; we could all probably use an avatar of optimism at the moment.

Story:

It's a bit tough to get right in such a small-scale narrative (in terms of complexity, not the impacts on the universe of the VN), especially since this one is essentially just two conversations, but much of what's presented does come off a bit "telly" rather than "showy". While the reveal of what's really going on behind the scenes is fun, the conversation that gets us there is, like the integration of the theme, a bit too direct. Hodor represents "business, business, numbers" and supports financial gain over all, and Gobaith represents the more humanitarian, charitable approach, and they effectively state this explicitly several times until Gobaith reveals his gotcha moment. It might make the story a little more engaging if Hodor had some more convincing arguments that Gobaith had to overcome to defeat him and trap him in the cafe.

Presentation:

It's fine - very simple, obviously, which I think was the intent. Could have used a bit more background music at times (we are in a coffee shop after all) but the writing was mechanically well-constructed and mostly free of errors, and there are no issues with the stock sprites. Generally middle-of-the-road here; you didn't do anything wrong, but there's not much that particularly stands out either.

Creativity:

While it could've been smoother in execution, I still think the idea was very creative. Limiting the action to a confined space was a really intelligent move, both in terms of the jam and for completing your first project generally, and the focus on theme and the plot twist were good ways of maximizing the effect on such a short story.

I was also thoroughly jumpscared by the sudden Welsh.

Good effort, hope to see more from you!
