Tried DX11. Main menu loads, but when I select any of the options the game instantly freezes. Sometimes I get a pop-up that just says "Fatal error!" Either way, I have to kill the game via task manager.
I used a Dell Insperon 15-7579

Based on the system you're using (the Dell Inspiron 15-7579), it's quite possible that the hardware just isn't able to run the game reliably, especially since it's a fairly old model with integrated graphics.
Unfortunately, I can't offer solid support for lower-end or older systems like that, simply because the hardware limitations are outside of what I can optimize for right now. That said, if I’m able to create a lightweight or lower-spec version of the game in the future, I’ll definitely keep feedback like yours in mind.
