"we're postponing release indefinitely" is how a lot of places tell the public "we're not working on this anymore."
even postponing the next version release "indefinitely" will be interpreted as not having plans to release the next version, ever. (the delay is quite frustrating considering the ore bug is in the the version here.)
comments, ratings, and downloads are only part of the equation. you need regular updates, also, to have the game pop up in the "recent" category.
/most/ of the games in situations like yours, where the solo dev thought they'd make more money, and now have to delay or cancel things, almost without exception they have not released more often than every three months.
conversely, /most/ of the "most popular" games release updates every month. there are exceptions, but they exist in niches where no competitor has come close to their functionality.
most unfortunatly, you exist in a niche where you are not the top level of functionality.
if i might make a humble suggestion: your gameplay "pool" is very wide, but also very shallow. from what you've posted of your plans, your work is going to be "widening" the pool further, with almost no effort being put forward to depth. this means that pretty much everything there is to do in your game, you can do it in a couple of hours.
when you've added what you're currently working on, perhaps you can go back and fill in a lot of this. things like unifying the sex scene system, completing said system for the currently available characters, and adding more gear, especially to the crafting system. give us things to do once we've completed a patch's new content that might hold us interested till the next patch.
