I've been playing for half an hour. So far everything was frustrating, pointless and without any meaning. Maybe the game has something to offer but there is virtually no difference with a shitpost game for the moment, apart from the environment being nice. At least give some clues to what kind of expectations to have. If it's a walking simulator just say that and people will expect and enjoy the game as a wolking simulator. And if it's a story driven, mystery driven game, give something to care about and something interesting to be curious about. Here I don't know who I am, where I am, what's happening, who's talking, what's the core mechanic... All I know is there's a missing person and it's so generic. The game is not juicy, beautiful and well designed enough to not deliver on the other aspects. It doesn't have the basics of first person design to forgive the pseudomysterious New Age shitpostiness of the whole thing. I mean, "shift" key for jump? Nauseating camera? Oversensitive mouse? Weird jump behavior? Two different ways of interacting with the game (click and enter key) when one would have been fine and more clear? No universal keyboard handling? Long ass time connecting to the internet at the beginning (for what? You wait, you start hitting random keys to figure shit out, and then the menu appears out of nowhere and you validated the first option without knowing), long ass time waiting for pointless pictures and sounds at the beginning to serve as an intro that introduces almost nothing and just test our patience? Sorry for the long rant but there is big potential here, that's why I care about this game.
If you ever want to play again, maybe consider the following: a.Making a map of area accessibility, b.Reading the Manual file, c.Watching a guide for the first area. Because it sounds like you didn't get anywhere, and that is understandable, it is a 9/10 difficulty puzzle game. The first area is to slowly introduce the puzzle elements that the game uses, but because of it's difficulty it needs to be very very slow. I still haven't figured out the last last last puzzle and I started months ago.
It genuinely takes multiple days to figure out and solve most of the puzzles, that is why I like it.
There is more story, a lot. There is more gameplay. There is not parkour. There is a lot more beauty. I urge you, next time you are bored, please give this another chance, and try to look past the pixels and look for the beauty.
