the feeling of bittersweet sentimental nostalgia and dread kinda got me in a chokehold, this brought me back to memories of playing with old friends. my dumbass thought Mila was a name of a girl, like one of the chars’ younger sister or something, late realization bonked me in the head when Bern mentioned her as a smart dog lol. the small details portrayed about the characters in the limited scope gave away their distinct traits; Toby, Bern, and Hans (with the two dogs that have seen through things). The amulet additional bits brought few key differences too whether you take it or not, i have noticed. also, being in a trio had never worked out well for me so far, it felt like i was almost in Hans’ shoes again in that similar experience lol, the atmospheric narrative told was done good all in all!

spoilers thank God things werent as bad as i thought like one of them died in the fateful rainy day or something, but the implications of something sinister going on behind the scene in that forest and with that illusion Hans experienced? gave me chills, tbh it reminded me of this certain scene of Gakkou Gurashi or any other horror refs when the actual reality was revealed and contrasted with how the protag saw it through their affected perception, im betting it's the red stones or whatever radiation outbreak that got something in it causing hallucinatory elements. kinda sad they didnt end up really reunite tho, i think, and the dogs symbolic presence moved me to tears, man's best friend to the core

Thank you so much for playing Omen of Rain!! It means a lot that you were able to connect with it in such a way. ;v; The atmosphere is definitely my favorite part of this story, so I’m glad it worked well!

spoiler Gakkou Gurashi mentioned!! I never made the connection, but now that you mention it there may have been an unconscious inspiration on that. You actually got that spot on! The ending is definitely a lot more positive than it may seem at first. :')

(I just learned how to add spoilers to text thanks to this comment so thank you for that too LMAO)
