I just found it to be overly harsh, which is why I provided examples and possible justification that isn’t immediately jumping to hasty conclusions. The “I don’t really care” part could be excluded and nothing would be lost from your message btw. It just serves to leave a sour taste to the recipient. In this case. Me.
“You can’t factually tell me that not marketing your game and giving more insight about the product is a good way to improve, that’s just nonsense.”
Never said it was a good way to go about promoting someone’s game myself. I was actually in agreement with you, yet you come across as quite cold which renders said agreement fairly moot.
And the first paragraph you’re referencing didn’t necessarily have to be interpreted that way. I was using that framing to build a plausible case as to why this game isn’t any worse for wear than the average indie game on itch.io (stats and all accounted for) without any serious attempt to directly tie it to your core point.
So I will accept the cross-misunderstanding and leave it at that even though I would’ve preferred a more amicable end.
