I'm having the same issue. The jump is simply not going high enough when I'm right next to wall.

I've tried multiple variations of the jump. I've tried holding the button for various amounts of time and I've tried jumping towards the wall from various distances (including right next to it). Nothing seems to work.
Hold X for a few more milliseconds to jump higher instead of just pressing it.
I have tried this, including jumping at a certain distance, long pressing, continuous clicking, etc. But the jump is always not going up.
