I actually managed to work around it, kind of??
I was messing with the faster skips to try and speed through my attempts and it seems like (for some reason) toggling it solved the problem? I tried it a second time after doing a backup save just in case and it seems to actaully work like that!
I really appreciate the offer for the fix, though!
I turned on Faster Skips and just held [Enter] through the text from when you wake up in camp that day until partway through the conversation with the cultists right before they attack and turned it off, then kept going with the scene; both times it worked i also then held [Enter] through the dialogue when the fight starts!
If it helps, I'm playing the MacOS version!
