In the 30 days or so in between updates, I keep replaying through the Cain content because he's so husband-coded lol Idk how the literal killer is (in my opinion) the most doting, but I could write a whole dissertation the fact that he is. Sometimes it's more overt, but he can also be surprisingly low-key about his care and I adore him. And now for my lovestruck gushing about Cain:

In 'A Gunshot,' when Cain gets picked up and he's like 'no, grab her first,' buddy, you're so injured please worry about yourself. But then the player gets the chance to immediately ask about his wellbeing in return and Gius is like 'y'all need to worry about yourselves.' It's just so sweet! Mutual worrying T_T They're out here inventing romance!
The final scene in the Halloween extra??? Crazy romantic tension, and he's still checking up on the player to make sure you're comfortable?? Green flag! Green flag! Green flag with bloodstains but still green!
Don't get me started on the New Year's final scene with him, I had to get up off my bed, lest my squealing and kicking disturb my neighbors. The whole extra ending right there was DIABOLICAL (I say lovingly).
And I guess most recently, "You didn't think I'd actually let you fall, did you?" EXCUSE ME??? I'm so sorry, other romance options, while y'all are interesting and I love y'all's screentime, the husband position has been filled. Buddy has a PhD in Husbandology, where he graduated at the top of his class and is now the best in his field. Y'all's characterization is so consistent that I knew there was no way he'd let us fall (also this is a romance game, so letting us fall would give me the ick lol but that's a different point). I feel kinda bad that I'm not really giving the other romance options the time of day, but they have steep competition!!
In short, so I don't accidentally write an essay, Cain best boy, I love this game, and I'm on pins and needles waiting for the next chapter to come out, after which I will write another long rant about how Cain is one of the best husbands to ever husband.
