I just tried it and it only zooms with a mouse. I still can't move the model around though.

Would adding keyboard shortcut for zoom work? I am not too sure how to add track pad gestures for zooming. could still look into it
Certain keyboard shortcuts either don’t work in the application, or zoom in/out the whole screen. I’m just looking to zoom in/out for the model
