Yeah, I wasn’t super into the idea of Lisa hooking up with Jose either, but my supporters voted for him — and by a landslide.  You can’t just toss out your plans every time someone has a “wish,” but at the same time, I keep getting messages complaining that Lisa doesn’t have a single male partner besides Hunter. You can't ignore that.

Of course, this part’s gonna be optional. And I really tried to keep Jose’s dignity intact as much as possible, considering he was always shown as a loving husband and dad.

And good luck with learning. I’d recommend picking one thing to focus on — either DAZ or Honey Select. If your rig can handle it, or you’re actually planning to upgrade soon, then definitely go with DAZ. But if a decent PC isn’t in the cards anytime soon, well… then Honey Select it is.

Learning Ren’Py well enough to make a simple VN? That’s a one-day job, honestly. You’ll get the hang of the deeper stuff as you go.

Blender’s great for making high-quality renders and animations, but not when you need to crank out at least 20 renders a day. Knowing Blender will seriously level up your work, but in the beginning, stick with DAZ Studio. And yeah — if you went with Honey Select, then Blender doesn’t really make much sense anyway.

I understand completely.  You cannot ignore you supporters. I am really glad about you attempting to keep Jose's dignity intact, if only partially.  There are enough cheating husbands and dad's out there for a lifetime, and it was a relief for me to finally see one who was not... but it is what it is.

You are correct about RenPy.  I knew a lot already, from fixing other peoples games, even before I got more serious.  I always have loved solving problems.  That allowed me to learn the RenPy part very fast.  RenPy is not only simple... it is intelligent also.

The rest creates a big problem for me.  I use Linux (for many reasons) and it is a pain to get Daz or even Honey Select to run in Linux.  Even though my Linux PC is very capable, it will not run Daz... yet.  Honey Select is much easier to get running but I am still working on that.  I do have part of Honey Select working now.

I have a Windows PC also, and while it is capable of running Honey Select, it is far from being able to run Daz.  Decent hardware is now nearly impossible to get, and that is not going to change anytime soon.  Nvidia is the only hardware that will run Daz, and good cards (like a 4090) are not available at ANY price.  At least where I live.  If one became available, it would be snatched up in seconds.  I may be able to get a used 3090. But that is why I turned to Blender.  It is not as hard to learn as I expected, and will run with almost ANY hardware.  The hard part with Blender, is you cannot just buy models and scenes that are already mostly made.
