This is a really sweet story. The contrast between the bittersweet past and the warm present was an interesting approach that doesn't usually get used often. You nailed the tones for both the past and present. I think I have a good understanding of what's going on, which is pretty hard to do with a non-linear storytelling approach, so good job on that. The characters are pretty likable and relatable. Was the light in the darkness the stars? Or was it the coin in the water fountain? That wasn't clear to me. Looking forward to seeing more of this!
