Just out of blatant curiosity but, what country does this game take place in? I've been debating U.K, Scotland or Ireland but after playing Billy's route I'm leaning heavily towards Ireland.
It's set an alternate-universe version of Cornwall called Kerneyth (similar to the name for the original nation: Kernow). Like Ireland, Wales and Scotland, it has a firmly established Celtic history, but unlike those places, It hasn't been its own nation since the 9th century and is technically part of England.
This is probably why the vibe feels hard to place! I've also been dropping in hints that Billy is part Milmaighan (Irish), so this is probably why his route gave off more of that kind of feeling. When I return to the project I'm considering doing away with the "alternative placenames" so that these details can be more directly referenced.
