Hm... Maybe because of old GPU or you need to update graphic drivers. One of the causes is gpu card overheat.
Or maybe settings automatically sets to epic. I'll make option to choice blank level for menu in next update!
Definitely possible on the graphics card end. I have an old 970 lol.
By the way I made game on my laptop with 940MX card. Seems game launch on high settings. And my fault I made main menu on 3d scene
