Meant to reply to this a while back, but it means a lot to me whenever someone from the area feels a connection to the story.
I went back home recently and though my hometown continues to grow quieter and quieter, other pockets around the county seem to be turning the trend around — often with a more visibly emerging queer community.
I genuinely think that decades conservative thinking is what has driven such a beautiful part of the world into it's diminished state. I hope that Cornwall can feel more welcoming to marginalised people as time goes on, and what I've seen recently gives me hope.
