I kinda digged the old system a little better but there were points where I was leveling up and wasting  those opportunities because it would mean replacing one of the skills I already had. I like the newer level up system more, it allows for way more customization of units.
The stamina system is interesting but I feel like they should also recover health if a unit doesn't go on a expedition.
Gameplay loop is still solid and I love the dialogue and noble family system.

Thanks for the feedback and totally get you! One of the goals with the Stat system is also to allow characters to progress for longer, pretty early in the demo last time it felt like characters where plateu'ing which obviously would be rough for a longer campaign. 

Healing when you rest is not a bad idea! Will definitely think about it ^^ Potentially it could be unlocked or upgraded through the relations!
