Really nice take on the theme! I love the art style! The character movement felt smooth and responsive, and the ability mechanics were well executed—they actually helped me progress further and further. The game loop is addictive, and the sound effects and music complement the gameplay really well. Awesome work!
If you plan to continue working on this entry after the jam, a small suggestion: make it more obvious that the rockets hitting you are actually causing damage. Aside from the health/mana loss, you could add some screen shake or change the sprite color. I didn’t read the tutorial and ignored the warning, so at first, I thought I was supposed to catch them! 😆 It was really fun playing this. Great job
