For platformers, movement needs to be quick, snappy, and responsive. The jump should have weight to it—not feel like you’re jumping on the moon. When you stop, you should stop immediately without sliding. Also, always add coyote time to jumps if there’s a big gap to cross. Incorporating these elements will significantly improve the movement and make the game feel more fluid and responsive
