It's an excellent module that I loved reading! It requires a bit of preparation due to the complexity of managing the two worlds, as well as the characters and objects that inhabit them. I think it requires at least three players to reach its full potential.

However, I don't understand the secret objective, "Lure the others into the Mirror World." If a player is in the Mirror World, he can't communicate or be seen by his peers. If he leaves the Mirror World, is he still under the entity's control? Would his illusion disappear? I don't understand how he could get his teammates to join him in the Mirror World.

I can't wait to play it with my friends! Great work!

Thank you for your kind thoughts! We hear ya that this module can be challenging to run with the prep needed and the various aspects to manage. As mentioned to others, we are working on a FAQ pamplet for Wardens to reference to aleviate work and answer such questions. So, thank you for those questions! We'll be sure to answer them, but here is a draft to respond to your questions:

  • Although direct communication does not work, like talking or using comms, players can still interact with the Mirror World and cause the same interaction in the real world. For example, players can write something on the wall and you'll see a floating pen writing the same message in the real world, albeit the writing would be mirrored, since anything in the real world is mirrored in the Mirror World and vice versa. Also important to point that, as defined in the Mirror World and NPC sections, players in the real world can see others in the Mirror World. They just have to see them through any reflective surface that would reflect the player's location in the Mirror World.
  • It is important to point out that the Entity is never controlling any of their victims; only convincing them through the use of intimate and repressed memories. This is why players have the free will to give in or resist their Illusions or the Entity as they see fit, only having to resolve the outcome of doing so. Anyone who resists are simply sought after and killed, as seen by the already dead staff. Therefore, it's up to the player if they feel compelled by their Illusion or the Entity after leaving the Mirror World. Maybe they regret leaving their cherished memory behind. Maybe they find the resolve to move on from their Illusion. Ask your players how they feel about leaving their manifested memories behind when they leave; guide them to come up with a compelling answer. As for whether the Illusion disappears, they still exist if they were never destroyed in their physical form. And even then, the Entity can still make more if it's still alive.
  • Hopefully the first point answers how the players can convince others from the Mirror World to get close to these Mirrors. In terms of having a physical way to do so, the "monsters" the players see in the Mirror World are the players in the real world. Since players can enact a physical force onto things in the real world by interacting it with in the Mirror World, the players can look to drag others in the real world close to Mirrors to be pulled in. They just need to put two and two together.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask here or PM me! And you've just reminded me that I still need to share my feedback for your work haha.

Using a pen to write a message is a great idea. It's reminiscent of Stranger Things when the characters try to communicate from one world to another. I imagine that was more or less the inspiration. You've answered my question!
