I enjoyed this, but I was also very confused at first. On my first few playthroughs, I could not, for the life of me, figure out what to do, so I was basically stuck in a loop of interactions.
On my revisit, however, I FINALLY had the breakthrough of (vvv SPOILER vvv)

using the items I found to interact with Dr. Isosceles, which finally led me to completing the game! Before this, I thought I could just combine the items beforehand, so I kept trying to combine the gum and paperclip and got frustrated.
