Really cool take on the theme! The weapon mechanic is really well-made—it’s super satisfying to use. The music and sound effects fit the gameplay perfectly, and the pixel art is really nice.

Awesome work! Just a suggestion if you plan to continue working on this after the jam: consider adding a bar or indicator to show how much time is left before the weapon overheats and explodes—it was a bit difficult to gauge just from the animation.

Thanks for the suggestion, i did initially think about having a charge bar but decided against it for the change in beam color and the shaking of the weapon as it becomes more unstable. going with the overpowered theme I was wanting to keep it that chance timing of how far you can push it for the increased damage before it blows up. i think if its continuing it on it after the jam is definitely making spme adjustments there
