I managed to plant one seed and then I couldn't do anything else? I couldn't work out how to actually plant crops and what the other tools were for. This has a great aesthetic and looks really promising but is in need of some kind of tutorial.

Thanks for the feedback! We definitely need to include a tutorial now that the GameJam is over and we have more time to work on the game. I did include a how-to guide on the game webpage, but that's a poor substitute for a built-in tutorial. The current gameplay cycle is to use the scythe to till the soil, plant the seeds, water the seeds, wait for them to grow, cut the crops with the ax, and place the crops in the chest. Once all current crops make it to the chest, new seeds are dropped.
Thank you for taking the time to test our game and giving us a player perspective that will help us grow as developers. We do plan on making a tutorial for the next release outside of the game jam, that should help players with the tools and their functionality. We also have many art and voice acting assets that did not make it into the game prior to the game jam deadline. These assets clarified the objectives of the game and gave a fun artistic spin. We hope that you will check on Seedfall again during its future releases. :)
