Just finished playing the game, and I loved it! A super interesting premise and gameplay mechanics! I find research and organization relaxing, and this satisfies the need to find files while also following an interesting plot! I did struggle a little with the trail cam clues, but that was likely because I kept sending back the files and losing track of where I found them lol. Overall, I'm super excited for the full version to come out!

Also just finished and agree with all your points! Does a great job of building the intrigue. Trying to think of a way to solve the issue of forgetting where files came from, maybe a record/printout of archive searches listing a short descriptor of each file that was associated with a searched code? i.e "Newspaper clipping" or "Trail cam transcript"

Just finished the game myself. I actually enjoyed keeping track of things myself. I used a software called Obsidian to keep track of files, people and events, making heavy use of tags and a folder structure. Kinda like doing real investigation in a real archive lol.

I actually use Obsidian too! Mostly for work and hobby stuff, didn't even consider using it for mystery/investigation games but totally makes sense to!
