For a very general hint, I'd recommend looking visually at how the symbols progress/combine/etc.

For a more specific starting hint: (rot13)

hehe just the reaction I was hoping for! Glad you enjoyed it

there’s enough info in the image to figure out the rules! You have to mess around with the info you get in the example, and then confirm what you think might be the rules using the fact that all puzzles should have a unique solution

Agreed that the first page was great! Second one was a bit too much for me though… couldn’t figure out how to make progress given (rot13) Gjb frrzvatyl vzcbffvoyr qrnq raqf. V’z nffhzvat lbh pna erfbyir bar jvgu gur sver cbjre ohg V pbhyqa’g svther bhg ubj gb qb obgu.

yw!!! Keep up the great stuff and excited to see what y'all make next :)

That was great! Loved the overall vibe with the art, music, and story. And amazing job with the puzzles too, was the perfect difficulty where I just barely managed to figure it all out without guessing. Would often make a few mistakes, realize something, and nicely get it confirmed when going back to recheck an item description.

Loved the demo! Can always go for more Case of the Golden Idle-likes, and this hits the spot. Enjoying the art, cases, and overarching story so far, keep it up!

Ah, I see why now!

Fun set! Found this one discrepancy that broke uniqueness under my understanding of the rules though.

Just finished the game, and wow, can't believe how amazing this game is for how little exposure it's gotten. This deserves to be up there with its inspirations. Not only is the deduction mechanism unique and well-designed, but the writing, twists, and secrets land amazingly well. Not to mention the game's length, which is surprisingly long and kept me entertained throughout. Excited to see what you put out next!

I actually use Obsidian too! Mostly for work and hobby stuff, didn't even consider using it for mystery/investigation games but totally makes sense to!

Also just finished and agree with all your points! Does a great job of building the intrigue. Trying to think of a way to solve the issue of forgetting where files came from, maybe a record/printout of archive searches listing a short descriptor of each file that was associated with a searched code? i.e "Newspaper clipping" or "Trail cam transcript"

Thanks for giving it a go! Is my first attempt at making a puzzle so appreciate the feedback. Added a few more hints to push you in the right direction if you're down to give it another shot.

Enjoying it so far! Currently a little stuck and could use a nudge.
