Use of the limitation
The limitation was Limited Space, we incorporated it by limiting the area in which the player can move. Our game's objective lies on surviving waves by dodging the bullets fired by the aliens, so the limitation of limited space helps us to increase the difficulty as we are restricting the mobility of the player.

Look good, it be a good arcade but the collition with the high ground were the aliens are it's weird its displaced, the characther is too slow as it can do anythinh more tha walk, feel that slugish it's a bad thing even when it's good balanced, don't feel unfair, but you not enjoy it eithers it's simply meh.
Either give it a more frenetic movement or give the characther more actions to do like roll to move fast, put temporary shields or somthing to return the shots to stun the aliens,  with a weapon or a shield.

I wanted to keep it simple for this jam, hence only pure movement, Id add regen zones, and shields after the jam. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback

Nice work! My advice is a little screen shake when you get hit so you can feel the damage and add a dodge roll for those "oh crap" moments. Cheers

Developer

yeah that can really work well, thanks for the feedback :)

Managed to get to wave 9 ! The collisions are super laggy and it makes the game even harder x) The hades music works well btw

Thanks for the feedback and congrats on level 9, id surely fix the collisions soon

Made it to the 10th wave here,  too! I liked how y'all applied the limitation here, but the collision boxes on the level felt overly restrictive and in some cases even felt arbitrary—especially as you approach the bottom of the level. It'd be interesting to see how the game would play with these tightened up. It also seemed like the player moved slower when moving diagonally vs moving vertically/horizontally when playing with my game pad. Ultimately, I loved the concept and I thought the art was really fun—thanks for making and sharing your game!

Glad you liked it, and congrats on wave 10, the collisions as said by many, ill surely fix soon, its a tiling system as of now so makes it difficult to match the world boundaries precisely hence the bad movement. Thanks for the feedback tho :)

Very solid, died on wave 10 with 3 seconds left, only critique is that the laser/projectile sounds were a bit loud and could have been more varied, great game, good effort!

Developer(+1)

Noted noted, planning to add shields, regen zones and varied alien attacks in future, glad you liked it :)
