This is a pretty cool platformer game that reminds me that I'm absolutely terrible at platformer games! I felt especially for a first game, this is a pretty nice entry. It's got some atmosphere through the consistent dark blue background and sombre music, and the instructions are fun to read as you play. The sticky green mechanic was fun and the use of a bright colour made it easy to see. There are a range of fun mechanics to interact with to help you go through this dark, foreboding forest. I liked particularly the mechanic that sent me flying in a direction, carried by a nice sound effect!
With the map design, I struggled quite a lot at the first bit of jumping past the spikes with a low ceiling which forced me to make the most of that dash mechanic. It took me a number of tries but going through the other stages were challenging but not as difficult. I enjoyed the death statements when you respawn. For future, the game might be better with check points as you go through the game. There may be a few bugs here and there, but I think you've nailed the game jam theme.
