Beeknighted harkens back to days gone by - perfectly capturing that N64/PS1 aesthetic. I love the grainy textures and blocky level design. It’s shaping up to be a really solid 3D adventure game.

It feels very polished. The dialogue is rich and the world, with its NPCs and lore is full of life. It really reminded me of playing a far darker version of A Bug’s Life on the PS1.

The puzzles and stealth elements are easy enough in this demo and the controls and moveset is perfect. Not being able to jump in the traditional sense but only hover - was initially a shock to the system but the level design makes it feel intuitive within minutes of playing - it actually becomes a nice new mechanic that I’ve never seen before. I also got lost - after tiptoeing past the ants - I’m not quite sure where to go or what to do. With the absence of a map or tasks, I can imagine a sprawling ants nest could prove hard to navigate.

Really incredible work MicrotonalMatt - this could become a staple of the genre. It’s so unique and well executed. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the kind words and thoughtful review! A map system is something I'd like to add in the future with the new overhauled demo. I can't promise a date for the new version yet but I'm working on it again after a break.
