I find myself underwhelmed honestly. Having played through both paths... the twist isn't so much a "twist" as it is the clear end for the story. It's foreshadowed so heavily I don't think it can be called one.

The art isn't bad, it fits the theme well... but it's not amazing and the gameplay was honestly kinda boring. My first playthrough took 20 minutes and my second playthrough to see the other ending took 10.

Now I'm not complaining about the length, I am however complaining about how simple everything was. It's very much go here, kill this come back, go out, do it again. And the combat has no depth to it, you just spam attack and occasionally other moves but you don't even need to.

Honestly... this feels more like a demo showcase even now that it's marked complete. I'm excited for what the dev might do in the future but I can't actually recommend the game. Then again, if you got 30 minutes to spare you can blaze through it I suppose.

An extra note. I also somehow bugged out my game and had to revert an earlier save. Somehow I got the Nightmare side upgrade while doing the Sea path... and could kill both bosses and get nothing for it. It was weird and I honestly have no idea how I did it. Reloading a save and repeating a few bits fixed everything.

Thank you for trying the game.

I intended for this project to be small, I had some ideas buti didn't want to expand the project more because I am working on different things.

Still if there is interest in the game I will consider returning to it.

Fair enough. No shame in doing a small game. I won't say it isn't a neat little experience but after recently going through a host of game-jam games with similar amounts of (or more in a rare few cases) it felt more like that then a full project to me. Which seems to somewhat be the case. I know you have that other game you're working on, and if there's something else again? No shade at all because I'm not entirely sure what more I'd want from the LitM without massively expanding the scope.
