Great question!
You may recall, that the original had situations that were unwinnable. This has been "fixed" for the remaster. There are several new art pieces and also multiple endings in the new version.
However - important - None of these changes are in effect in "classic" mode. The game can be played in "modern" mode or "classic" mode. For the later, you get the exact same original experience, defects and all.
