it is a hard one, will see if I can do  a more open system so that it can be distributed on Steam, but also have an itch version perhaps. Some account system or something, need to see how viable that is. Maybe its an idea for after I get more funding if it costs to house that account info. The only way I see it working is how other games do it (Marvel Rivals ect) they have their own accounts that allow you to connect crossplay or on other PC apps. At minimum I'll see if I can have an offline version available for non-steam if  I can't find an immediate solution.
