Okay, this story is called Hidden in the Dark. It's a historical fiction taking place in England, 1855. ( I've never done a historical fiction before, because I'm not really into them, but it would be a shame to let a decent idea go to waste.) This will probably suck, but here I go anyway.

14-year-old Lorelei's mother, Elouise, died mysteriously when Lorelei was 9, and gave her a special necklace. 5 years later, Lorelei's father, James, got a job with the local gang in order to care for his daughter, but something went wrong, and James ended up in prison. Lorelei, alone in the world, cut her hair short and got a job in the local mines under the name Lawrence. The mines were dangerous enough on their own. But Lorelei's boss, Mr. Blackwood, made them worse. Luckily, Lorelei found friends: Will, John, and Caleb. Caleb noticed something is off with Lorelei, or should I say, Lawrence. Lorelei and Caleb became close friends, and one day, Caleb figured out Lorelei's secret. The two grow closer and eventually fall in love. But there's a lot of evil in the mines, and the friends find out that Mr. Blackwood is more than meets the eye. When a mining tunnel Lorelei and Caleb were in collapses under suspicious circumstances, it's up to the twosome to stop Mr. Blackwood once and for all.
