When you have chosen your keybindings press down arrow or S for a third time and press z,j or enter
OK ty. I beat the game and that was an interesting respawn mechanic where you can still progress but you continue as a different enemy with different fighting styles. The pixel art is simply good and the background music is nice. Overall good idea.
