Pretty gorgeous game, especially because of the minimal feel to it.  I want to shout out the music and sfx as well, it's easy for people (myself included) to forget how much impact that sound has on even basic things like UI or responses but here it feels really nice.

I felt I was doing something wrong at first though, as my first 3 expeditions always only had choices between research and greed, so naturally i stopped caring about navigation and fighting and boy was that a mistake.

Hi Neon, thanks for your review! I really put a lot of effort into integrating sounds and music into the interface interactions, even though they weren't recorded by me (most of them are free sounds from Pixabay).

Regarding progression, stats, etc., I ended up not being able to implement some important features in time, like choosing which sailor would be responsible for a challenge. That way, the player could choose which crew members they wanted to take the risk with, or the most specialized ones.

Also, the status should have a bigger role in the game. e.g, greed would increase spoils, research would unlock different islands, navigation would be responsible for the travel duration, etc.

Anyways, it was a great experience to work on it!
