Hey! Yes of course you can pull as many assets into the editor as your memory can handle, The editor can manipulate PNG and SVG, given that my entire back history of assets is PNG and SVG then they are all compatible. Although the older assets don;t have the sp[ecialized gds editor swappable palettes, and togglable features. 

The next update of the editor that I'm working on will have even more features like, better nine slicing, live frame animations, tiling texture assistant - ui generator, background and texture generator.

I'm afraid I haven;t had chance to do the docs for it but If you come over to the site's discord I'd be more than happy to help. And you can see all the updates I'm currently working on!
