Only when the core game mechanic (pregnancy/eggs/etc) is complete, will most players consider the game as "just starting to get interesting" for this type of game. Those lewd games that leave this mechanic out (most modern H-Games), add it only to later strip it out (Tails Of Desire 0, Rise of Gruk, etc

[Tails of Desire was originally built completely around breeding, male pregnancy, corruption, and monster birth enmass. After the global crackdown on taboo subjects, they stripped all of this out - over 99% of their game content & 5+ years of work, including fully animated cinemas/films, intensive battlesex mechanics, divergent storylines, and more. Rise of Gruk was originally called A Goblin's Tale and was based around the same things as TOD, with Gruk becoming a femboy or futa or trap or whatnot goblin by the end depending on your choices in the game. It was picked up numerous times by different developers until the name changed, but both TOD & Gruk are completely different and very abridged stories now and barely have any game content. Both these games were originally MASSIVE, ie: TOD was over 25G compressed in size for example but the current available game is only 1G uncompressed. Everything older than that from before 2020 for both these games seems to have been mostly scrubbed from the net, with only some data points remaining from the original "Taboo Edition" of TOD and a partial but incomplete test version of the original A Goblins Tale that occasionally pops up, only identifiable by who produced it and tentacle monsters being present instead of bats.])

, or have pregnancy as a Game Over result, often feel unfinished or half-assed, honestly. They build up the player's interest only to end the game feeling like nothing really happened... a waste of time. Sure, there are ways around Graphic Displays of pregnancy mechanics and their sister mechanic of childbirth, but even just 'fading to black' on a scene still includes the mechanics in the game, completeing the design. Otherwise, it's essentially like watching Debbie Does Dallas with everything from the opening scene until the ending credits being deleted. But this is just my opinion, and seeing as the H-games that DON'T include a fully functional pregnancy mechanic end up disappearing from the shelves after a year or two? Well...
