I was thinking about making a 32x48 walking around character to go with them since i already have a 32x32 and a 16x16 one. How do these ones look to you since you asked? Might take a lil bit but Ill have them both walking in all 8 directions!

IMO (only my opinion) these feel a little too "basic" still. I think too much detail was lost shrinking them down to 48 primarily in their silhouette / stylized body proportions. (again just my personal opinion)

Is 64 considered too tall? I know it's a bit tall for RPGMaker default RTP.

I ~feel~ like you could just take your battlers and give them a left / right walk animation and that could be a platformer / sidescroller 2-directional starting point.

Hmm the silhouette may feel that way because its at an entirely different camera angle. For a character that is meant to just walk around on an overworld map, yea 64pixels tall is pretty large. That's half the size of of your average pixel art fighting game character! Most tilesets are 16x16, 24x24 or 32x32 and I think some rpgmakers are 48x48 as well iirc .You could do 64 tall though but its limiting to who actually would need and use that size. Definitely more for sidescrollers I'd say.

I do like the idea of just having them walk left and right in the 64 tall size because they could be used for platformers and beat em ups though! Man now I have like 5 other ideas lol which is good actually! Time to make some notes and get some things started haha

I was looking at another RPGMaker game. Their sprite is 75 pixels tall, 8Directional.

Even on the "Tall Sprite" RPGmaker forum thread, there are sprites anywhere from 50-90 pixels tall:

So I think the height can work, it's all relative to the scale / style of your game I guess.

Appreciate your time / discussion / amazing work by the way.

Oh those are that large huh? That is good to know! I may have to expand some assets outward so they are more available for people with those choices!

This has been great and a crazy idea maker for me! Glad you like what is out so far and hope you check out all the stuff that comes next too! Appreciate you!

Took some time but we got it done \0/

These ones turned out amazing.

Great work.

Would love some clothing packs for these base templates now - gonna experiment on my own to see if I can adapt your amazing style to a modular set of clothes.

If I can get it working ..
