I seem to be experiencing some errors when enabling some features, an error message popped up on the screen. I'm playing this on a MacBook Pro

Let us know what the error message says. Take a screenshot or type it out, please. That way we can maybe help you.
Wherever you've downloaded the game to and are trying to run it from, it's in a read-only location.
You need to move the game folder to another location. Make sure you've properly unarchived the game, and then move the game files again, using Finder, to the Applications folder.
...it's not a 100% guarantee though since some of the latest OS updates for Mac have caused some problems we can't entirely account for.
