pretty good game. had a lot of fun exploring the area and taking pictures of spring animals, even caught the red kite which took me a while in the meadows. wished the game was clearer about when can you take pictures though. had to go through a lot of trial and error to know it activates while you're moving. also wished they were music when you're taking a picture because without it it just brings a very empty tone/feeling. even though the graphics were not that great, it's also very charming in a way. also how did you guys end up using microsoft paint when you got krita and asesprite? and one thing I really wish is being able to see my album full because when you complete it it immediately teleports you to the end without giving you a chance to see your hard work. please, I want to see my red kite photo :(

overall I had a good time and it was very cozy, definitely 5 stars for cozy spring vibes

Well done for getting the red kite! Also thank you for the very constructive feedback - thankfully none of the points you've raised are a surprise and they are all things we ran out of time to address during the jam but are going to improve post-jam.

Paint I find to be a very useful tool for super-quick, mid-discussion illustration to help you storyboard and explain your ideas with your co-developers; I would rarely use it to produce an asset for the game.

As mentioned above, we will be putting in an album-review moment before the game end triggers, but if you really want to get a picture of the red kite to see, you could go back and do the meadows first (post-pickups of course). Feel free to share the screen shot in a comment if you do, we'd love to see it!

you make a good point that paint is very useful to sketch due to its non-heavy nature due to how small the program is (and I admit I thought some of the assets were made with paint, sorry). and I want to suggest a popup that tells the player to go back to grandpa cause I would love to end the game by going back to grandpa's house because you start by going out from grandpa's house

Yeah agreed ^_^. And no problem re. the paint stuff - I'm glad someone read all the way down to the bottom of my description enough to be interested enough in what tools we used!

it's not a problem. I always read the full description of the games I played in this jam. I enjoy knowing the additional stuff like the credits, programs used, etc.
