Nice game,  specially liked the level transitions. The thing I would change is to give the player some i-frames after getting hit, otherwise its really unforgiving if you are already in a bad spot

Your character stops taking damage after getting hit, and this invulnerability continues if you get hit again (even while already invulnerable). The invulnerability just doesn't prevent knockback, is that what you're referring to?

yes, just gave it another try to verify, that is what feels weird. You are indeed invulnerable but the knockback moves you to unpredictable places
