No. She should not be dead after that. I can tell me how did you reproduce that issue. I tried two possibilities I can think of and both time she was spawned in Rumia room(her spawning in Rumia's room only happens for me).
okey what i did is i gave her food and she started following me and i made sure she went back to our universe and i as i recall she went to the truck then I went to the base after that i went back to that world i found her dead in the room i found her with her hand on the handle
