AAAHHH this was too adorable, I got diabetes from both the chocolate and the sweetness of the game !! >_< Your sprites are always so well-drawn and I really love how emotive the expressions are! The characters personalities really shined through in that aspect. (Also I love how you left in the unflinching Vanilla smile when roasting Michael 😂😂😂)
All of the mini-games are so well-made too, amazing work Cat and Kristi!! Bean’s monkes of course brought such an adorable polish to the player experience !! (I can’t wait to see the chibis added in too hehehe). And I think I’ve probably said this a couple times but Fish’s UI is seriously so great!! It really set the precedent for the game’s aesthetic 🙌
The group banter is also really funny, the cheesy rom-com humor was top-notch and I really grew attached to everyone! (justice for Vanilla TT !!) I really enjoyed how the vibes of Jade’s and Jordan’s route were different, yet really fulfilling and heartwarming! El did a great job writing for Jordan, his nerdy and sweet personality was just too cute and I really love how his small gestures towards MC conveyed his feelings in the sweetest way🥹. For Jade’s route I especially enjoyed the descriptions of romance and the portrayal of falling in love, it was so evocative aaaa 😫❤️ ( also jade has freckles I didn’t even realize until the zoom !!) and side-note, their fears and struggles are so relatable.
ALSO Jordan’s sprite (torso?) gets launched into the stratosphere during the fireworks confession, I got a hearty laugh out of it but I don’t know if it was intentional so i wanted to let you know LOL 😂😂
I had a blast being a part of this and I’m still really happy that you like my backgrounds 🥹❤️ The BG zooms are also so smart?? I didn’t realize it would work out like that hahah but it worked out!! Thank you for having me on Cat! (And I’m super excited to get to the rest of those backgrounds🔥) Ok now I’ll stop before this review gets too long but will I return with a probably even longer review when the final build is out?
