I made 3 saves for 3 separate paths. It was fine yesterday. Now its all broken
Sorry for the issues. Your new saves shouldn’t have any problems. Perhaps you opened an old save on accident?

turns out im an idiot. opened the wrong version. but with the next update will i have to make a new save?
Yes unfortunately until the game is complete new saves are a necessity. However, there will be a prompt when starting a new game to pick and choose what content to skip through if you've played it already.
