Thanks, I just wanted to reply and say, that an endless runner is characterized by the fact that the player continues to gain points and can only go forward, with no real goal other than to continue gaining points. This, while a driving game fits the narrative, as the vehicle goes forward (it can backup in case of an issue, but its only supposed to be used if stuck) and there is no actual end to the game, it will continue going forward.  

I feel that our project meets these requirements and was in fact an endless runner.
