does shooting the targets actually do anything? I really enjoy this game, but it bugs me that i cant tell what they do. I know they add up to the final barrier stars, but is there any difference between getting 1, 2 or 3 stars?
Each star you get multiplies your damage (or at least increases it by a whole lot) once you pass through the last barrier into the rock section of every stage.
